Renewable generation (rg) is an important and growingdivision of shell renewables and energy solutions (res).(Informação Confidencial)is aglobal team working from regional hubs in the americas, europe and asia, responsible for ress growth and profitable position in largescale grid connected renewable power generation principally solarphotovoltaics (pv), onshore wind, battery storage and offshore wind. The(Informação Confidencial)onshore team develops, builds, sells and operates onshoresolar, wind and battery assets either through organic growth or viaacquisition of development platforms or portfolio companies. Whatsthe role? The head of delivery brazil is based in são paulo, braziland reports to the gm global head of delivery and engineering. Theoverarching function of the head of delivery brazil is to build andlead the brazil delivery team and cooperate closely with the head of renewable generation brazil, business development and developmentengineering peers and close support functions such as hsse, contractsand procurement, legal, finance and corporate relations to deliversafe, profitable renewable power projects on time and on budget whilstmaintaining ress reputation both internally and externally to shell. The short-Term goal is to deliver 2gwp of renewable assets tocommercial operation by 2026 with more than 500mwp of solar commencingconstruction in 2023. The head of delivery brazil will be responsiblefor developing and leading the delivery organization comprising shellstaff, owners engineers, consultants and contractors for the design,construction, commissioning and handover of onshore renewable powerprojects. The core delivery team comprises of epc managers, projectdelivery engineers and delivery contracts and procurement,interconnection and logistics professionals. The brazil delivery teammembers are based in rio de janeiro and sao paulo. The incumbent isexpected to establish excellent and constructive working relationshipswith 3rd party contractors, and to determine how best to balance thedistribution of risk and value between(Informação Confidencial)and the contractors so thatrgs global value and growth objectives are expeditiously achieved. Theincumbent is expected to have a flexible and open mind to identifynew, more efficient ways of structuring rgs relationship with itscontractors and to have an inquisitive and cooperative mindset togather and share competitive market intelligence within the regionalhub and across the global delivery network. The head of deliverybrazil will also be expected to be an active member of the globaldelivery leadership team and contribute to knowledge sharing, buildingthe global community and further enhancing the delivery teamscapability to scale efficiently and rapidly. Key responsibilities:build and lead the brazil delivery team. Coordinate closely andconstructively with brazil core team of business developers and engineers to deliver country business targets. Manage solar andonshore wind project delivery safely ensuring schedule, cost andquality targets are met. Establish, maintain and continuously improve delivery discipline practices and strategy. Contribute to globaldelivery network. Establish a strong network with solar/wind epcs, oemequipment suppliers, technical consultants and owners the shell team and project with authorities, grid operatorsand stakeholders. Strong working knowledge of electricity network andsystem operator requirements within brazil. Rapidly develop a workingknowledge of permitting, licensing and grid connection requirements in brazil. Embed goal zero safety mindset in delivery teams andcontractors. Work with the global head of delivery & engineering and delivery leadership team to develop processes, tools and ways ofworking that allows the onshore renewables delivery model to scale ata rate that matches the res growth ambitions. What we need from you? Demonstrated experience in delivering or managing delivery of largemulti mwp utility-Scale photovoltaic projects including hvinterconnection scope. Experience in delivering photovoltaic projectsin the latin america region preferred, particularly in brazil. Onshorewind and battery storage delivery experience is a plus, priority issolar pv. Must have at least 7 years of practical experience in sitemanagement gained inside or externally to shell. More than 10 years in shell or renewables contractor operational, project management and/ordelivery roles is preferred. A strong preference for candidates thathave multiple years of experience in preparing tenders particularlyfrom the perspective of a construction contractor. Solid experience inmanaging contractors, technical consultants, owners engineers andindependent engineers in the renewables, construction or powerindustry. Solid experience in contractor negotiations includingdispute resolution. Solid experience in the techno-Economicoptimisation of projects. Solid understanding of project economics,risk management, value chain and project development. Experience inmanaging and influencing other corporate disciplines (e.G. Legal,procurement, hr). Knowledge of the solar/wind/battery storage market latin america and particularly in brazil, including competitivelandscape and market rules.
