The position by joining our team in exploration & production international you will have the opportunity to: work as a principal petrophysicist as a core member of our growing brazil subsurface team. You will report into the brazil subsurface organisation which is responsible for the efficient development of our operated and none operated asset base, bringing forward regional value capture opportunities, and helping grow our low carbon solutions business. As a key team member of the team you will need to: deliver state-Of-Art well log interpretations and petrophysical models, utilizing the full range of relevant data available (incl borehole image logs, core measurements/descriptions), dynamic input. Establish reservoir modelling strategies as part of a multidisciplinary team, and ensure that reservoir models capture essential reservoir quality heterogeneities and trends. Contribute to well planning and data acquisition program. Follow-Up drilling operations and monitor data acquisition, while contributing to safe and efficient operations. Perform qc of acquired information. Work together with equinor petrophysical and geological experts to develop workflows and methodologies for characterization of pre-Salt reservoirs, including properties uncertainties. Integrate conventional and special core analysis in the petrophysical model. Establish interfaces with different stakeholders, such as service providers and partners. Act as a core member of the pre-Salt petrophysics team in equinor brazil with the responsibility for ensuring transfer of know-How and experience between relevant business units. Masters degree is considered a plus. Be eligible to hold or have an active crea (only applicable for engineers or geologists). Minimum 7 years of proven experience and deliveries in the o&g industry. Advanced in written and spoken english and portuguese. Deep experience with petrophysical analysis and characterization of clastic and/or carbonates reservoirs. Pre-Salt experience preferred. Interpretation of borehole image logs. Background from and interest in working across discipline boundaries to ensure proper integration of data and interpretations. Proficiency with petrophysical applications such as geolog. Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications. Occasional embarks are required.
