_brief job description_ L&l crewing Is inviting you to be part of a great opportunity to join a highly regarded company that will engage on a telecom cable installation project in brazil that involves the simultaneous installation and burial of approximately 100km of submarine post is available immediately And the work has a ten to twelve-Month duration, from january to december 2023.If you have the necessary skills & experience and would like to take on a challenging and important team role this year, we would love to hear from you.- _your profile_- A knowledge of the maritime industry in brazil and prevailing qhse standards for offshore vessels would be ideal as would previously work experience on brazilian offshore projects.- Typically, you will be familiar with marine offshore work in the oil & gas industry. You will also be familiar with producing project documentation such as quality plans, method statements, project qhse status reports, risk logs and incident reports.- You will be willing to be based in Shanghai china Or brazil, depending on the agreement and should the need arise, be willing to travel to china in advance of, or during, project execution.- You will be fluent in english and have a working knowledge of portuguese. You will have good interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment.- _duties & responsibilities_The project qhse manager is responsible to assist the senior project manager / project manager for development, implementation and monitor the project qhse plan to ensure its compliance with the company qhse management system, iso9001, iso14001, iso45000 standards, ism code or other standards required. to plan and develop a project qhse plan that meets the company qhse management system, iso9001, iso14001, iso45000 standards, ism code and other standards required by the customer. to prepare, develop and implement the project qhse documentations in line with the company qhse management system, iso9001, iso14001, iso45000 standards, ism code and other standards required by the customer. to plan, coordinate and ensure the effectiveness of internal and external vessel audits/inspection. to monitor and ensure the project delivery compliance with all quality, health andsafety environment legislation. to ensure that all project hazardous activities are analyzed and required preventive measures are implemented. to perform safety surveys and inspections, prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective and preventative measures, and follow up on task completion during the project implementation. to identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices during the project implementation. to coordinate with hr on compliance with project qhse training requirements. to participate in project, contract, and safety meetings. to establish reporting & recording environment to gather project incident data, and to ensure timely reporting of hse parameters to relevant stakeholders to analyze the project incident data and identify trends, and provide recommend actions to avoid incidents to ensure management of all project hazardous waste and maintain records of the same. to ensure the project implementation compliance with occupational regulations and standards, contractual requirements and environmental regulations. to develop and implement efficient project operations emergency response plans and ensure compliance with regulations.- _qualifications_ strong communication and interpersonal skills.
