Or, do refer someone from your network...Responsibilities entail: management provide line management to finance team members in brazil. Ensure the team is clear on the tasks to be performed and that they are being correctly approve (and prepare when required) accounting entries. Ensure transactional and accounting allocations. In the general ledger are correct. Maintain accurate accounting records that are compliant with ifrs and applicable gaap. Approve payments up to the threshold defined in the group authority matrix and in line with the current cash utilize the financial systems and tools available. Maintain accounting controls at all times. Support the preparation budgets and forecast for the region. Provide financial information for auditors. Prepare or review statutory accounts and tax returns and ensure submitted within the required deadlines. Provide financial information to management in the form of reports or financial statements. Review, approve and submit the station weekly cash forecast. Finance approver for weekly / monthly payroll. Prepare payroll reconciliations (3-Way). Ensure station pension contributions are up to date. Continuous track of billings and collections and ensure timely collections ensure that ap ledgers are up to date and duly reconciled. Review accruals and pre-Payments month end manage the month and year end financial account closures and related reporting for the designated station(s). Ensure all accounting tasks are completed by the deadlines set reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to budget / forecast. Submission to group. Thorough review of projects and various cost elements i.E. Committed cost, ltd cost, ytd cost, month cost and cost to complete requisite provisioning. Coordinate with project manager and evaluate the project progress on periodic basis. Job purpose: ensure the finance team completes the necessary accounting, financial administration and financial analysis tasks. Manage the periodic reporting and month end activities for the designated station(s). Lead local audit activities and maintain compliance will all local and international statutory and regulatory requirements. Complete responsibility of the stations finance and accounts operations. Key accountabilities: fulfil the requirements of the regional financial manager develop a strong working relationship within the finance team and key business stakeholders. Provide leadership and strong management to the local finance team. Preparing accurate work which conforms to finance best practices. Maintain the integrity of the financial information reported. Ensuing all deadlines are met (both internal and external) bring to light any concerns or red flags within finance as soon as skills/ knowledge/experience: proven work experience as a finance manager or similar role in a projects or contractor business. Has managed a finance team or department previously. Is comfortable providing team performance reviews and experience progressing team members. Strong ability to review existing processes and controls and make improvements where required. Can develop new processes and controls consistent with industry best practices where required. Expertise in ms office suite excel with ability to create concise, efficient, and accurate models. Hands on experience with financial and statistical software. Familiarity of enterprise resource planning systems (erp). Up to date with accounting standards and best practices. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts. Demonstrate strategic thinking skills. Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information. History of developing strong working relationships with key business stakeholders. Financial qualification (i.E., aca, acca, cima, cpa) or any other relevant certification which is internationally recognized. Excellent written and oral english communication skills. Ensuring that good housekeeping is maintained at all times at their workstation and surrounding area taking reasonable care of themselves and other persons who may be affected by their actions whilst at work.
