Role overview we are looking for: inside the digital technology (dt) service of solvay, the mes team is in charge of preparing and delivering solutions for several world wide manugacturing execution systems (mes). The team also brings mes support. Mes dessign engineer delivers day to day support services to mes users, directly or indirectly by drafting troubleshooting guides to the first level support. He/she takes part in the mes design and roll-Out projects he/she designs, develops and rolls-Out custom mes applications the incumbent is part of the technical it expertise center for the mes systems and provides assistance to all dt team for its roll-Out. We count on you for: designs, installs, configures, manages, monitors and supports mes server software with its data flow through firewalls designs and supports mes client software. For custom mes applications: designs functional specifications with key-Users develops and tests (or supervises developments and tests) designs and runs acceptance tests and rolls-Out. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications. Develops and maintains documentation of mes systems (applications, network architecture, etc.). Guides and instructs members of it on technology, applications, and best practices. Trains mes domain coworkers works in a multidimensional, multi-Site team with project managers, analysts, and system administrators in order to meet clients needs. Mes system assessment and define the compliant security rules and regulations more detailed action regarding support activities : using bmc helix for ticket handling, would provide it mes desktops (2nd/3rd level) and servers support & requests. Shall be able to find out the nature of problems and try to fix them or escalate them. Guide users with simple, step-By-Step instructions. Monitor system to quickly detect issues. May contribute to the knowledge base. You can count on us for : enrich your mes knowledge discovery and increase the knowledge about solvay ade/specfic applications and environment you will bring: master in software engineering a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar environment (pi / ip21). Fluent english, and french is an asset. Mandatory: aspen manufacturing suite (ams) or osisoft pi system software engineering methods and tools industrial and scientific software engineering knowledge of: tcp/ip microsoft windows servers (Informação Confidencial) 64-Bit windows 10 64-Bit microsoft active directory (light knowledge) microsoft excel 2013 or above microsoft sql server 2014 and above (web and forms) application programming interfaces of ams and/or pi management of projects from design to roll-Out.
