Purpose of the job oxitec is seeking a highly motivated and experienced buyer to join our team in brazil. The candidate on this position will be responsible for all strategic purchases, including supplier development, approval process together with quality management team, relationship and performance management. The associate of this area do not only buy products and services, but also create opportunities to the business and to the entire supply chain. We need to buy well, to sell well. This associate needs to contribute to the business by bringing new insights into new products, new applications and alternative sourcing, ensuring alternative suppliers or materials for the main products used in the production line. A problem-Solving and can-Do mind set are essential. In addition, the ideal candidate stands out as a strong team player with excellent communication and analytical skills and shows great enthusiasm for oxitecs mission. Responsibilities ensure that all needs (raw materials, opex and capex) of the company are met within the defined slas. Develop strategies for negotiation with national and international suppliers, through the strategic sourcing methodology. Market intelligence: follow the global market in search of opportunities and savings. Ensure the continuous search for alternative sources of supply, based on project requirements and new products. Constantly reassess the supply chain risk, implementing strategies to minimize the risk of disruptions. Management of kpis and action plans to achieve goals. Ensure that the purchasing process is carried out within established rules, including all steps in the erp (microsoft dynamics 365). Contract management. Lead bid process on categories, if according to the strategy defined. Work closely with R&D, facilities, ehs, marketing and supply areas to identify, develop and maximize cost reduction opportunities. Work closely with supplier quality assurance to ensure the suppliers to meet the quality standards and mitigate potential supplier quality issues. Lead and encourage continuous improvement projects through good ideas. Skills, experience, and education requirements bachelors degree in engineering, business administration, economy, or related areas. Advanced english. Excel (advanced). Experience in development and supplier qualification, negotiations focused on the total cost of acquisition (tco total cost of ownership) supplier relationship management (srm). Experience in executing bids (rfq, rfp). Well-Developed project management/planning skills to manage multiple projects and priorities. Strong drive for cost reduction and optimization. Behavioural requirements committed to and passionate about the oxitec mission and values. Responsive to the needs of an international business working across different time zones, adapting working patterns in-Line with business requirements. Positive, humble, co-Operative and professional always. Work with a sense of urgency and solve things promptly. Resilient and persistent in an innovative and constantly changing environment.
