Interested in being part of our team?Join us on our journey for a better description:as a field service engineer for atlas copco tools & industrial assembly solutions in the uk, you will support our tooling and joining solutions technologies for our customers across many industry sectors. You will need to have sound mechanical and electrical competence and be able to support and work on software and integration systems with installation, commissioning, and planned maintenance activities. You will be part of the service business line and support our industrial technique business areas:motor vehicle industry (mvi)general industry (gi)industrial assembly solutions (ias)you will report directly to the field service team are looking for a skilled and motivated technician who can support the installation, commissioning, and planned maintenance across our broad range of tooling and joining technologies. Mechanical and electrical competence is a given and with the growth of data services, software, and integration skills are also a requirement. You will need to work in production systems and be able to provide technical analysis and root cause diagnosis of the installed solutions. Deal with production critical systems in industrial environments, understanding the links between tooling applications, customers production processes, and the associated it products and solutions. You will ideally be located in the midlands or north west regionsuk-Wide travel will be essential to be successful in this roleoccasional overnight stays and overtime following customer and business requirements will be expectedroles and responsibilities:you will perform pre-Delivery testing and inspection of tools as appropriate before delivery/site and commissioning of new tooling and industrial assembly solutions at customer will provide support and assistance for project delivery, working closely with project integration and configuration of customer plc interfaces to atlas copco and resolution and root cause training and operation will support customer staff in the pilot will determine and undertake all necessary preventative maintenance on all power tool products, industrial assembly solutions products, and software will manage the calibration, testing, and certification of all atlas copco power tool will identify and deliver sales opportunities (software/upgrades, optimization) for field service, working closely with our service sales & skills requiredrequireddesireablequalificationshnc in mechanical/electrical engineering or experience in a manufacturing environmentknowledge:(knowledge, experience & background)have knowledge of industrial power tools i.E. Pneumatic, battery and dc, and supporting knowledge of either a manufacturing or customer service infrastructure knowledgeexperience of plcs and line control systems. Have experience in providing a service to copco software platformspersonality: you will be:a confident person who is a good team have an eye for details, also drive, and commitment to see the job through to a successful highly motivated, enthusiastic, and determined.
