The role - Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions- Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate gaap standards and regulatory requirements- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements- Coordinating activities of internal and external auditors- Providing management with information vital to the decision-Making process- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes- Evaluating accounting and internal control systems- Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics- Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and complianceThe requirements- Bachelors degree in business, accounting, or related field- 10+ years proven accounting experience (5+ years experience as a senior-Level accounting or finance manager)- Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (brgaap/usgaap/ifrs)- Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis- Very good knowledge of brazilian tax and all government requirements- Exemplary history of financial project management- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting- Active crc- Fluent in portuguese and english, spanish is a plusequal opportunity employer.
