Airswift is seeking a geology advisor (onshore) to work on a contractor position in rio de janeiro with a major oil and gas company. The geology advisor will be responsible for providing regional and localized geological interpretations of the brazilian pre-Salt for various assets and play concepts. The candidate should be able to train, develop and coach the exploration team, providing technical presentations and improving company technical best practices regarding exploration activities. Job responsibilities execute geological studies in various scales based on the integration of multiple. Geophysical/geological data to evaluate exploration activities in brazil. Help with regional exploration projects activities and plans ensuring adequate technical. Expertise. Work and review processes in volumetric determination and prospect ranking and risking. Promote technical workshops to the brazil venture team to enhance and develop regional basin and prospect analysis in the company. Provide inputs to improve company technical best practices regarding exploration activities. Job qualifications minimum masters degree in geosciences (geology or geophysics). Strong experience in oil and gas exploration activities. Expert understanding of sedimentary basin evolution and analysis of petroleum systems and regional geological processes and workflows. Extensive experience in stratigraphic interpretation of seismic sequences, prospect evaluation and maturation in the campos and santos pre-Salt basins. Fluent in english and portuguese.
