Our job is to develop, manage and optimize the service market supply chain for all volvo group brands and jv’scope for service market logistics includes flow optimization, inventory management, distribution center operations, customs & trade, as well as the development of logistics solutions to ensure the highest possible parts availability, delivery precision and quality everywhere in the world. Position description summarythe packaging engineering intern position will primarily be responsible for working with packaging development. This entails working with purchasing, supply planning, parts marketing, warehouse, and acting as liaison for global packaging initiatives. Purpose of the positionthe packaging engineering intern position provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment, and to promote the graduate’s career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study. The intern experience enables students to participate in professional activities for volvo group logistics services by working on projects for service market global packaging. Intern positions are structured learning experiences where interns and our full-Time professionals work together on projects within their selected organization. The intern position allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and volvo group service market logistics. Core responsibilitiedevelop and drive initial packaging set-Up from material suppliers and ensure that the solution is the most cost-Effective and secure throughout the entire supply up and update packaging specifications in warehouse management that the part is wellprotected throughout the logistics work to decrease the total cost, lead time and additional handling in the logistics analyze and negotiate with suppliers for implementing supplier of packaging issues concerning supplier-Packed parts at our warehouses, 3pl’s, suppliers and dealers. Essential skills and minimum education requirementsapplicants must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in production/industr ial engineering, mechanical engineering, or other related should be interested in pursuing a professional career in packaging engineering with a specific interest in automotive and aftermarket analytical and problemsolving to read engineering should be proficient in microsoft office applications (excel, access, word, sharepoint, teams, powerbi, and powerpoint).Advanced/fluent english personal competencieseffective professional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsstrong interpersonal skillscustomer orientedtechnical skillspeer relationshipsintegrity and truststanding aloneaction orientedperseverance
