Overview Hexagon autonomy and positioning (A&P) is looking for lead perception validation engineer to lead the verification and validation of computer vision solutions for deployment on production in mining, agriculture, and other industries supported by the hexagon portfolio of companies. Our customers rely on hexagon A&ps industry leading technology when building their own solutions. (email confidencial) do not send cover letters or resumes to this address.  Responsibilities As our lead perception validation engineer, you would be responsible?for:  Define validation methodology to assess the performances of our systems and report the key performance indicators (kpi) Develop and maintain a validation pipeline to measure system kpi. Make or buy solutions to automate as much testing as possible Coordinate in vehicle testing at farms, mines, and other locations as needed Work with the software team to integrate validation with the continuous integration system Develop hil solutions to validate hardware and software integration Create sil solution(s), which may include a unity simulation environment, that help evaluate perception performance in hard to acquire use cases Work with task tracking tools such as jira and confluence to update tasks regularly  Report project status to technical leadership as needed Travel to validation sites as needed when deploying software updates or the latest delivery, typically less than 20%. Qualifications Must-Have: ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??  Bachelors degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, robotics or a related field 7+ years of experience developing software for computer vision, robotics, autonomous driving, or machine learning 1+ years of team or project leadership Proven track record of deploying camera, radar, or lidar perception in autonomous vehicles Experience with computer vision algorithms (object detection, object tracking, semantic segmentation, slam, stereo vision etc.) Strong understanding of python scripting Verification/validation and/or software engineering experience Ability to travel up to 15% of the time Key success factors:?  Strong interpersonal and communication skills Self-Starter Collaboration with a highly technical team Collaboration with external customers Nice-To-Have:  Masters degree computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, robotics or a related field Production automotive or other transportation perception experience Experience with perception verification and validation automation Matlab/simulink validation automation experience using a dspace hil The company: hexagon is a global leader in digital reality solutions, combining sensor, software and autonomous technologies.
